Last week we told you that Legend Comics was hosting an Omaha zombie walk. Well this week, we’ve learned there’s going to be one in Benson too, and apparently Capes Comic Book Lounge at 62nd and Maple is a staging area. Check out http://www.myspace.com/zombiewalkomaha for more info. The Benson zombie walk already has 560 myspace friends as of blogtime; the Legend zombie walk unfortunately has a private myspace profile, so zombie census figures are unavailable (and Doomkopf will not be adding any zombie walks as friends — not even for reporting purposes).

• Doug McCoy’s “Comic Bug” was the winner of Krypton Comics of Omaha’s new mascot design contest. Check it out at KryptonComicsOmaha.com.

Krypton will also be an exhibitor at the 6th annual KidzExplore Treat Street event, Saturday October 25th at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs. The MAC will be decorated with all kinds of Halloween sights and sounds, providing a safe environment for trick-or-treaters.

And next week, join us at Krypton for 24 Hour Comics Day. Check out 24 Hour Comics Day Omaha on facebook.

• There’s also going to be a 24 Hour Comics Day event in Lincoln, tentatively scheduled for the Hi-Way Diner, site of the 2006 outing.
