• Trade-a-Tape Comic Center‘s 33rd anniversary sale begins Monday, Oct. 6th and continues through Saturday, Oct. 11. The store is at 9th and N in downtown Lincoln, Neb.
• Krypton Comics of Omaha will reveal the winner of its logo design contest on Monday. Krypton is hosting 24 Hour Comics on October 18.
• Legend Comics at 51st and Leavenworth in Omaha is hosting the 2008 Zombie Walk on October 25th.
What is a Zombie Walk? This is a fun annual event (making its Omaha debut this year) for charity where you dress up as a zombie and walk, zombie-style of course, with dozens or even hundreds of other zombies!! It is for charity, so please bring non-perishable food donations for the Omaha Food Bank (no brains…well, you can bring brains but only to snack on…). It takes place from NOON to 6PM at Legend Comics. Food and drinks will be provided and prizes will be given out for best costume, best “zombie shuffle” and best zombie groan! Legend announced its ongoing back-issue sale in September, in which all back issues are 25% off every Saturday and Sunday through the end of 2008. Legend acquired more than 500,000 back issues in July of this year, most of which are sold through its online store.
Oh, cool, I forgot about Trade-a-Tape’s anniversary sale. Looks like I’ll have to make the trek to Lincoln to get me some new long boxes.
