Howard Out, Cheadle In

Terrance Howard, who played Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes in this year’s blockbuster motion-picture “Iron Man,” will not be back in the sequel. He will be replaced by Don Cheadle, most famous for his portrayal of the character of Will’s childhood friend “Ice Tray,” in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

Rhodey, of course, eventually goes on to don the Iron Man suit during Tony Stark’s battle with alcoholism, and, later, becomes the hero War Machine, in his very own suit of armor. Reasons for Howard’s being replaced haven’t surfaced yet, though according to rumors, it was over contract disputes. Figures. Hollywood big shots.
