Book of Doom: Invincible #42
“Ever thought about trying Invincible but just haven’t gotten around to it? Now is your chance! This special introductory issue — priced to sell — features the start of a brand new story-arc, and is an excellent jumping-on point for new readers. Also in this issue  a recap of the entire series from start to finish, bringing you up to speed.”
That’s what Image has to say about the 42nd issue of its premier superhero title, Invincible. With a low, low cover price of only $1.99, how can you pass up what some fans have called “the best superhero comic out there today?” Okay, so that was me, but I’d bet you’d be able to find a lot of folks that agree with me.
This week, the Legion will be joined by special guest Paperghost of paperghost.com, making this the very first international edition of Books of Doom. Come back on Saturday to see out thoughts on the book and give us some of your own.
Disclaimer: Unless your really confused by the story, I would strongly recommend not reading the “comprehensive recap.” If you like the issue, pick up the first three trades or the first hardcover. They will be soooo much better if you don’t know what happens in them.

…this sounds like a definite invitation to review it while drunk, then. Mind you, all I really know about this title is that its “that comic with the dude and his dad or whatever” so this should be fun.
All I have to do now is ensure the local comic shop thing actually has this in. If not, expect a reprinted review of a performance of La Traviata from my universities student magazine, circa 1998. Sure, the lighting was lousy but the tickets were free and that’s what counts.
