Why I’m glad I quit reading Captain America in one sentence
From my google reader today:
“CBR spoke with ‘Captain America’ writer Rick Remender about his protagonist’s battle to recover his foster son from the villainous Arnim Zola and escape the nightmarish reality known as Dimension Z.”
Click here if you want to read the interview. Maybe it’s good.
(If you’d like to read about why I quit reading Captain America in many more sentences, there’s this.)
Why I’m glad I stopped reading Captain America in less than one sentence: drawn by John Romita Jr.
I’m kind of torn on the current Captain America book. There are aspects of it I like, but other parts I don’t (he may have straight up shot Zola’s daughter in the face in issue 6, which I consider a pretty wrong-footed thing to have him do), so I never enjoy it quite as much as I’d like to.
But I dig Romita Jr.’s art (I think he draws fights well), and Remender’s stories don’t move at a glacial pace, which was one thing that kept me from bothering with Brubaker, so I’m cautiously optimistic based off that paragraph.
